Welcome to the Embodied Perception and Interaction Lab (EmPACT Lab) at NTU.
At EmPACT Lab, we work on a simple but ambitious goal: building intelligent systems that can understand and interact with the world more like humans do.
Our research explores how AI and embodied agents can sense, perceive, understand, learn, and act in complex real-world environments. We are especially interested in creating systems that are more adaptive, efficient, and natural in the way they interact with people and their surroundings.
Our research spans several exciting areas, including Cognitive, Neuro and Physics-Driven Sensing, Human-like Multi-SensORY Fusion, Spatial Intelligence, Embodied Learning Theory, and Human-Agent Interaction.
We bring together ideas from AI, robotics, perception, sensing, and human intelligence to develop new approaches for the next generation of embodied intelligent systems. Along the way, we aim to produce impactful research at leading conferences and journals while creating an open and collaborative environment where students and researchers can explore bold ideas and grow together.
Our goal is to build human-centered intelligent agents that can sense, perceive, understand, and interact with their environment in a natural and human-like way.
EmPACT Lab Research Philosophy
At EmPACT Lab, we study how intelligent systems can sense, perceive, understand, and act in the real world.
Our research brings together AI, robotics, sensing, and human-centered intelligence to develop embodied agents that are more adaptive, efficient, and natural in the way they interact with people and their surroundings.
We work closely with leading universities, research institutes, and industry partners around the world, turning fundamental research into technologies that can make a real-world impact.
